With the support of the M Foundation, ABAAD – Resource Center for Gender Equality – is scaling up interventions in Lebanon through its Mobile Bus “Jina Al Dar” Programme. The latter is a bus reaching the most marginalised areas, towns and villages in Lebanon, to assist the most vulnerable populations by providing a wide range of services aiming to prevent and reduce all forms of violence against women and girls and promote social stability and cohesion.
Using this program as an entry point to communities , a new innovative component has been launched thanks to the financial support of the M Foundation. ABAAD is conducting a series of workshops t with children and adolescent boys from various cultural backgrounds, nationalities, and economic status to build their capacities in animation techniques as a tool for self-expression. The aim is to provide a voice for children and adolescent boys, allowing them to express their ideas on gender equality, toxic masculinity, patriarchy and the challenges they face in their society using the artistic and educational tool of animation. This project presents an innovative approach to engaging children and adolescent boys as partners in promoting gender equality and combatting all forms of gender-based violence and discrimination!
